  • 100_0863 100_0903 100_0612 Well, hello everyone.  Time for a quick blog.  I was over on My Space for a few, but it was too hard and I didn't care for it as a whole.  So I'm back over here on xanga.  Sorry My Space lovers.  I'm doing well as a whole.  I've been on a busy roll lately.  Just taking kids here and there, going to a wedding, helping a friend out, instructing children, eating icecream, watching movies, visiting with lots and lots of cool family and friends, and lots more.  We had the cutest 8 month old patootie for about a month and a half.  She went back to her dad last monday.  She was a great experience for me, a joy to be around.  Last weekend my mom came down for the weekend and then took Lael back home with her for a few days.  This week my dad and sister Christie came down from Vegas and Seattle for a nice visit.  I'm looking forward to my sister Christie showing me her great banana bread recipe.  I'm always on the lookout  for the best recipes.   Well, I'll write more later.

  • One guess whos beautiful magic feet these are!  The answer is on the bottom of this blog!!  You'll be surprised.  Oh, and they're not mine!!  So don't waste your guess on that.  (wow, you'd think I had nothing better to do ha ha!)

Here's Lael posing in our most favorite sweater.  My good friend Jens mom made it for Lael last year.  That meant so much to us because she had never even met Lael and she put so much love into it.  I really admire that.  Our other daughter Zara wears it too!  I"ll post a pic of her in it later.

Sorry about the sideways pics.  I don't know how to turn them........

And here is Zara Christine our latest, soon to be adopted addition!!  We have been watching her for about 6 months now.  She's 1 and a half months younger than Lael.  We though she was going to be back with her family, but she has come up for adoption.  She is as sweet as they come.  The best hugger and her kisses kind of tickle!!  When we need a cuddle fix, we go to Zara as Lael is just to busy in her life to sit in someones lap all day.  (Lael's got too many cookies to find and chip cupboards to raid!!!)

And here is Zara folding her laundry!  She sure knows how to do it right!  he he

We've been having a lot of fun with our girls.  We have a 14 year old Minerva whom we've grown very fond of.  She keeps in contact with her mother and siblings.  She's just got a great spirit about her and it's awesome to see her growing and making more and more right choices everyday.  And we also have a 16 year old Wendy with us who has brought a lot of challenges that she is making great changes with.  We're starting to get to know her better little by little as we uncover the layers life has added to her real personality.  Lots of Prayer!!  Alex is doing a lot of growing in his new job as an electrician and really likes work a lot despite the more challenging days he faces.  I keep busy with the little ones and try to give the older ones my ears as much as I am able.  I want them to feel as valued as they are.  Well, I hope you all have great blogs waiting tohappen because I just did a great one and it wouldn't be fair now would it, if you all read this great one and then did nothing to reciprocate for my reading enjoyment!!  And don't be stingy on the details!!  JK!!  We love you all tons!!!  And here is the long awaited answer to whose feet are in the picture above.................................................Dun dun dun dun!!!!!!.....................................

  • Hey guys, how's it going for you?  We're doing great, thanks to all you who contributed to our new kitchen!  Here's a picture of Alex admiring our new cabinets and dishwasher and sink and garbage disposal and countertops!!!!  Thank you!  I still can't get over how much free time I have now, not having to do dishes all the time.  It's a huge change to our lives!

Here's Lael enjoying her candycane at the Christmas parade....

We just got back from sledding at Shaver Lake this past weekend.  I loved this pic of Christie and wanted to share it.  We did some crazy sledding.  The first hill we went on was pretty dangerous.  We didn't realize it till we all went down it first though.  No broken bones, but we got a lot of laughs.  I almost peed my pant like three times laughing at other people screaming their heads off before doing a few flips and eating snow!  We moved to a much calmer hill after that.  I ate it pretty hard myself.  he he.

Here's Wendy our latest addition.  She's doing pretty well adjusting to all the changes and all that.  She's sixteen years old and likes the new school she's transferred to.

Here's a picture of Hoo Bears getting into Minervas christmas chocolate.  She came walking out of their room with it.  We had to take a few pictures because she looked so funny.  Of course we took it away from her right after these shots.

I don't think I've posted a picture of Minerva our second oldes foster daughter.  Here she is.  She's fourteen and we're getting to know her pretty well.

Allrighty then, that's it for now.  I'm going to go listen to my ipod that I recieved for my birthday.  Thank you all for the birthday wishes and I love and miss you all!!

  • Hi there everybody!!  It's 10 at night and Alex is at the movies watching Munich.  It really wasn't up my alley at the moment so he went by himself.  I hope he's enjoying the break  I just got finished putting together 2 twin beds in our foster daughters room.  We went down and bought some because they were tired of the bunkbeds.  (understandably)  Whew, I'm glad I inherited the mechanical inclination.  The instructions were only so so.  My back is tired and my eyes are tired and my brain is tired, but we have a new kitchen!!!!  Our family all got together (thankyou everyone from the bottom of my heart)  and surprised us with a new dishwasher, garbage disposal, cabinets and countertops and a corner lazy susan set!!  I've got a load going in the dishwaser as I write.  It does make life much easier.  I've always enjoyed washing dishes by hand, but with our expanding family, I just couldn't keep up! I feel guilty at times for having such an awesome caring family.  I know I shouldn't, but some people don't have anyone.  I just have to count my blessings.  Our 1st teenage foster daughter, April, moves into independent living on Wednesday.  I'm so happy for her.  I've really got to see her change so much from when she first moved in with us 5 months ago.  She has a different personality than anyone in our families we grew up with.  She's very loud and demanding and she'll hustle to get what she wants out of life, but when you look beyond just those things, she's a beautiful human being who deserves to be seen and be loved for who she is.  And all those things that have driven me crazy at times, I love about her too and see that those can be great strengths in her life.  And I know for a fact that she has grown fond of us too.  And I take that as a complement.  So we'll be busy tomorrow moving her and all that good stuff.

Well, I just want to thank all my family from the bottom of my heart again.  It means more to me than I can say that you saw this and decided to tackle what looked impossible.  Once again you have shown us your love, and all though it's hard to recieve at times, I know I have to.  So thanks and have a great night!  Lots of love, Bethany.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!  The girls are running around the house somewhere, but I don't hear any screaming so I think it's safe to make a blog real quick.  I really don't know of what to write about at the moment.  My days consist of cleaning house, playing with the girls, changing diapers, and running errands.  I know I have a life somewhere in there.  I just can't think of it at the moment.  he he.  I will say that I am at a very content and full  place in my life.   I miss all my family  a lot of the time, but we still remain pretty close, so I guess I should be happy with that and think of other things.   The girls are being a little quiet, I'll be right back.....................................Ahha!  They were playing with my old pog collection in my jewelry box.  Lael and Ciara have been getting along just like sisters.  It's like having twins except for Ciara was a premie and Lael has a little mental stinkerness growth ahead of her and takes full advantage of it.  Well, I've got to go, I  think someone needs a snack.  Love you all!
